To enable Bluetooth scanning of nearby gas and water meters via BLE, our app requires location permissions. ACCESS_FINE and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION allow device discovery while the app is in use. ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION ensures ongoing meter readings when the app runs in the background. These permissions are strictly used for BLE connectivity and do not collect or use location data for other purposes.
